I hate electric kettles as they break very easily. This is a great change and it is beautifully made. You dont' get burnt when its time to remove the whistle either.

This WMF Surf water kettle features a a visually appealing Euro design in high quality 18/10 Cromargan stainless steel, along with a super sandwich aluminum core base for efficient heating. It's black handle is reminiscent of a cresting wave- the inspiration for the name Surf- is heat resistant and feels comfortable in the hand. This kettle whistles when brought to a boil, signaling that it's tea time, and there is a removable cap on the pour spout. Its generous capacity of 2.5 quarts allows for flexibility of water volume.
