I bought this masher because it was recommended by Cook's Illustrated magazine and because I needed a potato masher. It works as advertised, is very strong and has a loop on the end so I can hang it on my pot rack. Just what I was looking for.

The head's shape and relatively small size make it a precise instrument that avoids the wrist and hand strain extra-large mashers can cause. The head is highly polished on the top but unpolished on the bottom to prevent slippage when crushing potatoes, carrots, or apples--further evidence of Profi Plus tools' careful engineering.
