I just received this and it seems to be a very nice tool for tenderizing tough cuts of meat. It is well balanced and performed well the one time I've used it so far. The only reason I'm not rating it with 5 stars is because I've not yet given it the dishwasher test. If it holds up and doesn't turn color after putting it in the dishwasher, I will consider returning here and giving it a 5 star rating.

A traditional meat pounder that is textured on both ends of the pounder head to tenderize meats. Turn it sideways to flatten meats. This WMF Profi Plus meat pounder measures 10.25 inches long. Also available in a 12" model.This meat pounder is just one of the high-quality Profi Plus tools WMF makes for every conceivable kitchen task. The head has pyramid-shaped points--large points on one side and smaller points on the other--to tenderize and flatten meat. Contemporary European in style, it measures 10 inches long and has an 18/10 stainless-steel, satin-finish, cylindrical handle. It's beautifully balanced and has a heavy-duty hanging loop.
